COVID-19 Voting Plans in Full Gear

We have developed a detailed COVID-19 plan for our in-person voting opportunities (created based on federal, state, and local health guidance). Every Vote Center will have a series of signs, providing instruction to voters and guiding them through the process.

Our new social media kit will be released later this week. The kit will contain an extensive collection of tools designed to assist cities, school districts, special districts, private organizations, and more with their 2020 November communication plans (including videos, images, signage, social media posts, etc.).

We've completed our final drop box installations for the November election. Most locations remain the same from the Primary Election, but some had to be moved due to logistical concerns. We added six new drop boxes based on data from the primary, including this new installation at UCI.

The majority of our training program encompasses a distance learning platform, allowing our Vote Center employees to stay safe while learning. However, we must provide hands-on instruction, which begins today and includes a detailed plan to ensure a safe environment with physical distancing.

In 2018 Registrar of Voters, Neal Kelley served on the National Academies "Future of Voting" committee. Chaired by the presidents of Columbia University and Indiana University, the committee is coming together again to review progress since 2018 in a public webinar on September 23rd.
