Today is National Voter Registration Day!

Make sure you are registered to vote by the October 20 deadline for the 2025 Statewide Special Election.

Visit ocvote.gov/registration to register for the first time, make updates to your registration, or check your registration status.

If you are unable to meet the voter registration deadline, you can still conditionally register to vote through November 4 at any Vote Center or at the Registrar of Voters located at 1300 S. Grand Ave., Bldg. C, Santa Ana, 92705.

You may also conditionally register to vote online but must then go to a Vote Center or the Registrar of Voters to be issued a provisional ballot.

Countdown to Early Voting
Countdown to Early Voting

Voting for the November 4, 2025, Statewide Special Election will open in 20 days!

A Vote-By-Mail ballot will be mailed to all Orange County voters starting on Monday, October 6, marking the start of the voting period.

The Registrar of Voters started last week to print about 1.9 million ballots for this election.

Our OC Printing & Graphics department is certified by the Secretary of State to print Vote-By-Mail ballots. Our certification must be renewed every two years.

Printing ballots in-house enables the Registrar of Voters to better ensure the quality and security of Vote-By-Mail ballots. To learn more, you can watch our video “A Deeper Look – How Ballots Are Securely Printed and Distributed” on our YouTube channel at @ocrov.

Vote Easy. Vote Secure.

Use Your Voice for Voter’s Choice

The Registrar of Voters wants Orange County voters to tell us what they think about how we conduct elections and how we might improve access to voting.

After two months of public engagement during community workshops and meetings with community groups, a draft of our Election Administration Plan (EAP) has been posted for public review and comment on our website at ocvote.gov/EAP.

The EAP addresses voter education and outreach, Vote Center and ballot drop box operations, accessibility and language services, election security, and contingency planning.

The draft EAP 2026-2029 is available in English and in translated versions in Chinese, Farsi (Persian), Gujarati, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Tagalog, and Vietnamese, in accordance with federal and state law.

Comments on the EAP may be submitted until the close of a September 25 public hearing:

  • by mail sent to P.O. Box 11298, Santa Ana, CA 92711-1298
  • in person at the public hearing at 6 p.m. on September 25 at Irvine City Hall
