Acceptance Testing on New Voting System ContinuesOur teams have been working daily to unpack and on-board components for our new voting system. This process will take us through December as we conduct a series of tests on every device to ensure that they are working to our standards.

Ballot Drop Box Insert Prototype
As shown in this photo we are testing prototypes of the collection containers that will be located in each ballot drop box. We continue to refine the design to maximize the performance of each unit (ensuring proper collection of deposited ballots). |

Removal of Old Voting System
The removal of our old voting system, first purchased by the County in 2003, is well underway. These units are being transported to Arizona where they are being de-commissioned according to federal standards (and are being destroyed and liquefied for recycling). |

Yes, There is a November Election
Yesterday we mailed nearly 200,000 Voter Information Guides for the November 5th General District Elections. These elections, taking place in Santa Ana, Stanton and San Clemente, will be operated under our old polling place model (San Clemente will operate as a Mail Ballot Election). National Voter Registration Day a Success
Earlier this week we participated in several events throughout Orange County in support of National Voter Registration Day. During this period we registered over 600 new voters and informed hundreds more about our upcoming Vote Centers. |
