Final Vote Center Plan Approved

The California Secretary of State has approved our final plan for the implementation of vote centers here in Orange County. The plan, known as the Election Administration Plan (EAP), can be found on our website at ocvote.com/votecenter.

Vote Center Layout Preparations We have been working on various configurations for the layout of vote centers. As shown in this photo, several layouts (ranging from 700 square feet to 1,100 square feet) have been mocked up to find the best arrangement for the size of a location.


New Method for Storage of Voting Systems As we continue to take delivery of our new voting system, we will be storing them in 3 foot, 4 foot and 5 foot secure metal storage containers. These containers will contain all of the equipment necessary for a vote center and makes logistics a more efficient process.


Storing Sensitive Printers for Election Operations We are bringing on thousands of printers to support our vote center operations. These printers will serve a very important role - printing ballots on demand for our voters after they check in at a vote center. Proper storage of these printers is critical (we will be utilizing dust free corrugated boxes).


Multiple Events This Weekend Related to Vote Centers Our Community Engagement Teams will be positioned throughout Orange County this weekend at multiple events - ready to discuss our upcoming transition to vote centers. This will include the Irvine Global Village, the Placentia Heritage Festival, the Viet Film Festival and the Fall Fiesta at UCI.
