As of today, we have received 163,200 vote-by-mail ballots. This is compared to 117,490 at the same time period prior to the 2016 Presidential Primary Election. This represents a 36% increase – we have been processing these ballots since last week.

Our Vote Center layout includes clear directional signage plus line management stanchions. Our stanchions, shown here prior to deployment, will be placed to assist voters in the check-in process once they arrive at a Vote Center.

Our third and final outreach mailer headed to voters late this week. We printed nearly 6 million large marketing cards (shown here on our in-house digital equipment) explaining the changes coming to Orange County elections for 2020. These cards also contained the closest Vote Center and Ballot Drop Box for every voter.

Our teams will be working Saturday and Sunday to keep up with the heavy ballot returns received to date. Each ballot is scanned into our automated system, sorted by precinct and then voter signatures are reviewed by trained operators. Once validating each ballot is opened and prepared for scanning.
