During the canvass, Registrar of Voters conducted several post-election voting system tests and audits.
SANTA ANA, CA – December 2, 2025 – Registrar of Voters Bob Page today certified the official Orange County results of the November 4, 2025 Statewide Special Election.
Total voter turnout for the election was 52.3 percent. Of the ballots cast by Orange County voters and counted, 88.2 percent cast a Vote-By-Mail ballot and 11.8 percent cast an in-person ballot at one of 66 Vote Centers throughout the county.
Prior to certification, an audit was completed to verify the results of the election. The legally required One Percent Manual Tally examined and manually tallied about 11,000 ballots from 23 precincts. The hand count results were then compared with the election results that were produced by the County’s voting system. The audit confirmed that the results of the election were correct.
Additionally, the Registrar of Voters tests the voting system equipment and software to ensure the accuracy of the results in the Logic and Accuracy test. Each of the about 200 ballot scanners used to tabulate ballots in this election were tested both before and after Election Day to confirm they counted the votes accurately.
The Registrar of Voters produces detailed reports and maps focusing on overall results and results by precinct, by districts, by cities, and more. View these reports by visiting ocvote.gov/detailed-results and ocvote.gov/map-central.
